The Bauchi State Government has started a two-day sensitisation workshop for its civil servants to prepare them for the promotion examination scheduled for Jan. 9, 2021.
Alhaji Aliyu Jibo, the Head of the Civil Service (HOS) in the state, addressed the 1,800 workers on Tuesday in Bauchi.
He said that the workshop was aimed at preparing the eligible civil servants for the forthcoming promotion examination.
Jibo said that the importance of the workshop could not be over emphasized, saying that it would enhance the performances of the workers during and after the examination.
He said that the Gov. Bala Mohammed-led administration’s determination and commitment toward a robust civil service for the state would add value and enhance professionalism.
The HOS urged the participants at the workshop to concentrate on what the resource persons would be teaching them, and especially, during the question and answer session.
He said that the participants would be exposed to seven critical areas which would include: the History of the Nigerian Civil Service, Public Service Regulations, Code of Ethics for Public Officers, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
