The Delta State Police Command has embarked on investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting to death of a businessman, Adams Eguvwese, in the Sapele area of the state on Tuesday.

After perpetrating the crime, it was learnt that the assailants zoomed off in a blue Corolla car to avoid being apprehended.
It was learnt that the deceased’s family reported the incident to the police for investigation.
Sunnybobonwa posted on Nairaland that Adams just returned from abroad to celebrate Christmas, but was killed by gunmen, adding that the assailants fled the scene of the incident in a car with no number plate.
He wrote, “This is a case of a certain young man called Adams Eguvwese. If he had known that he would be killed when he returns to Nigeria, I am one hundred percent certain that he would have remained outside the country.
” Reports say that the young man was shot twice today, Tuesday, December 29, in his office in Sapele. According to reports, he was shot by boys who arrived in a Blue Corolla which had no plate number. They have successfully made a young woman to be a widow, and a child, fatherless.
“Currently, there is a lot of wailing and sorrow among Sapele indigenes and residents, due to the fact that he was popular. Apparently, he established a very big hairdressing and barbing salon in the area. This is a very sad one and a big loss.
I pray he rests in peace and the perpetrators of the terrible crime be brought to justice as soon as possible. I pray that his family gets the courage to bear the loss.”
